This layout prints three checks to a page rather than one. You will also see it called 3 to a page, 3 per page or three on a page. All describe the same format.
The economics are the point. Fitting three payments onto every sheet reduces paper waste and cuts what each check costs you, which suits businesses processing a steady volume of supplier payments where the detail already lives inside Xero.
Your bank details and MICR line arrive pre-printed. Xero places the payee, date and amount. Available in twenty colors with your logo added free.
Three Per Page or Check on Top?
This is the decision most Xero users are actually weighing.
Three per page is the economical choice. More checks per sheet, lower cost per check, and the payment record stays in your accounting software rather than on paper. If Xero already captures your invoice detail, printing it again is duplication you are paying for.
Xero checks on top cost more per check but place the check body at the top with space beneath for remittance detail. Choose that when suppliers expect payment information attached, or when you want the paper trail independent of your software.
Works With Older and Current Xero Versions
Our Xero checks are supplied to work with older as well as the newest versions of the Xero accounting platform, so an upgrade on your side does not leave you holding unusable stock.
Because Xero is cloud based, your check printing setup travels with your login rather than living on one machine. The paper requirement stays the same regardless of which device you print from.
Xero does not sell its own check stock and does not require any particular supplier. Any check formatted to the correct layout and dimensions prints from Xero and clears at your bank normally.
Getting the Alignment Right
Print a sample on plain paper first and hold it against a real check to compare positions before committing stock. Confirm your printer is set to actual size rather than scaling the page, and check the sheet is loaded facing the right way in the tray.
Three checks per sheet makes alignment slightly more sensitive than single check formats, because an offset that looks minor at the top of the page compounds by the third check. Always test on plain paper rather than real stock.
Three quantities are available, and this is the format where volume pricing pays off hardest.
100 checks. Around $0.75 per check.
300 checks. Around $0.31 per check, our best value option.
600 checks. Around $0.23 per check.
Stepping from 100 to 300 cuts your per check cost by well over half. Going to 600 reduces it further still. No code or promotion is needed, since the saving is built into the quantity you select.
You can also add additional checks to an order to increase the saving further. Current pricing appears on this page as you select a quantity.
Every check we print includes security features as standard. You can also upgrade to More Security paper during ordering if your payments warrant it.
Worth considering if you write higher value checks or have had a fraud incident before. The upgrade sits at the same step as your quantity selection, so you can weigh the cost difference before committing.
Twenty color options are available, including Mazed and Art Deco. You select your color during ordering and see a layout preview before anything goes to production.
That preview is exactly what it says. Before printing, our team finalizes the alignment and removes the white background, so the finished check is properly set up rather than printed straight from the on screen version. Alignment is handled by people who print checks every day rather than left to you.
Adding your company logo is free. Email your artwork to sales@checksnextday.com with your order number in the subject line. Black artwork on a white background in BMP or JPG format reproduces most cleanly.
These checks run through any inkjet or laser printer. No MICR toner, no dedicated check printer, no special cartridges required.
Because your bank details and MICR line arrive pre-printed, your printer handles only the variable payment information. MICR toner is needed only if you print bank details yourself, which is what 3 per page blank check stock is designed for.
If three per page is not what your Xero setup expects, three other layouts are available.
Xero checks on top place the check body at the top with space beneath for remittance detail. Xero checks in middle position the check centrally with detail above and below. Xero checks on bottom place it at the foot of the sheet so the upper portion files cleanly.
Browse everything at Xero checks. If you are replacing checks you already print, match the position of the check body on an existing check rather than guessing.
The same three to a page layout exists across our other ranges if your setup is different.

Four details complete the order: your bank routing number, your account number, your starting check number, and your business name and address as it should print. All four appear on an existing check drawn on the same account.
Routing and account numbers. Both sit along the bottom edge of any current check, inside the MICR line.
Starting check number. Continue your existing sequence so Xero does not flag duplicates during reconciliation.
Business name and address exactly as it should appear on the face of the check.
Working with paper payments regularly? Pair your order with double window envelopes, sized so the payee and address show through correctly without refolding. An endorsement stamp speeds up the back of the check when depositing.
We have printed business checks since 1997. That is nearly three decades of doing one thing rather than maintaining a broad catalog, and it shows in how the checks are produced. Alignment is finalized by our team before printing, security features are standard on every check, and logo setup is included at no charge.
Orders are placed online through a secure checkout, which keeps processing quick and accurate. We accept all major credit cards and PayPal. Sales tax applies only to orders within New York State, and businesses holding an exemption can email the form after checkout.
