A black vinyl 7 ring binder built to hold your check pages securely and keep the book presentable through daily use.
Rings: 7 ring
Cover: Black vinyl
Fits: Our 3 on a page check formats
Price: $29.99
Sold: Separately from checks
Our manual check pages are supplied hole punched for a 7 ring binder, and this is the binder they are punched to fit. It holds your checks in sequence, keeps completed stubs with the book rather than loose in a drawer, and protects the pages from the wear a desk inflicts over a year of use.
The black vinyl cover is the practical choice rather than the decorative one. It wipes clean, it does not scuff visibly, and it looks appropriate when you open it in front of a supplier or a client.
This is an attractive, economical way to protect your checks. If you write checks regularly from a desk, the binder is what turns a stack of pages into something you can actually work from.
Why 7 Rings Matter
The ring count is not arbitrary. Our check pages are punched with seven holes spaced to match this binder, which means the pages sit flat, turn cleanly, and do not tear at the punch holes when you flip through the book.
A binder with a different ring configuration will not accept these pages. If you already own a 7 ring checkbook binder from a previous order or another supplier, our pages should fit it and you do not need to buy another.
This binder matches our 3 on a page check formats, which are supplied as pages rather than as a complete checkbook.
Accounts payable checks for supplier and vendor invoices. Multi purpose business checks for general disbursements that do not fit one category. Payroll checks for wage payments with stub space for pay records.
All three are hole punched for this binder and all three are sold without one, which is why most first time orders include both. See the full range at manual business checks, or compare the three per page formats at 3 on a page checks.
When You Do Not Need One
Two of our products arrive as complete checkbooks and need no separate binder.
Pocket checks come with a vinyl checkbook cover and deposit slips included, since they are built to travel rather than sit on a desk. Executive deskbook checks are supplied in their own book format.
Printed checks do not need a binder either, since they feed through a printer rather than being written from a book. If that is your setup, see business checks for the printed range.
One binder holds one book at a time, so the answer depends on how many separate check sequences you run.
A business keeping payroll separate from accounts payable, for example, benefits from two binders so the two sequences never get mixed and each set of stubs stays with its own book. Reconciliation is considerably easier when the payroll record is physically distinct from the supplier record.
If you run a single check sequence for everything, one binder is enough and it will outlast several refills of pages. The binder is a one time purchase against check pages you will reorder repeatedly.
The reason to use a binder rather than a rubber band is that check stubs are only useful if they stay in order and stay findable.
Every one of our manual check formats includes a perforated stub. The stub separates from the check when you tear it out, but it stays in the binder in sequence. That is what turns a pile of paper into a payment record you can actually consult when a supplier queries an invoice or you are reconciling a quarter.
Loose pages get lost, get out of order, and get thrown away. A binder is a small purchase that protects a record you are legally expected to keep.
A few other items pair naturally with a handwritten checkbook.
An endorsement stamp handles the back of every check you deposit in one press and keeps your endorsement consistent. A custom signature stamp helps where the same authorized signature is needed repeatedly.
Mailing payments? Double window envelopes save writing the address twice and keep the payee visible without exposing the rest of the check.
We have printed business checks since 1997. That is nearly three decades of doing one thing rather than maintaining a broad catalog, which is why our accessories are built to match our checks rather than sourced to fill a gap in a range.
Orders are placed online through a secure checkout, which keeps processing quick and accurate. We accept all major credit cards and PayPal. Sales tax applies only to orders within New York State, and businesses holding an exemption can email the form after checkout.
