Three checks print on a single sheet rather than one. You will see the format called 3 on a page, 3 to a page, 3 per page, three to a page and three on a page. Every one of those describes the same layout.
The appeal is straightforward economy. Fitting three payments onto every sheet reduces paper waste and cuts what each check costs you, while keeping the professional appearance your clients expect. It is QuickBooks friendly and works with other major accounting programs.
These are pre-printed computer checks, so your bank details and MICR line arrive already applied. Your accounting software prints the payee, date and amount. Software is required, so if you write checks by hand, manual business checks are the better fit.
Three quantities are available, and this is where the format earns its reputation.
100 checks. Around $0.75 per check.
300 checks. Around $0.31 per check, our best value option.
600 checks. Around $0.23 per check.
Stepping from 100 to 300 cuts your per check cost by well over half. Going to 600 reduces it further still. Because your bank details do not change between boxes, the only real consideration is how quickly you work through them.
You can also add additional checks to an order to increase the saving. Current pricing appears on this page as you select a quantity.
This is the decision most buyers are actually weighing, and it comes down to how much detail each payment needs to carry.
Three per page is the economical choice. More checks per sheet, lower cost per check, and the payment record lives inside your accounting software rather than on paper. If your bookkeeping already captures invoice detail, printing it again is duplication.
The check on top format costs more per check but includes two stubs beneath the check body, giving you space for invoice references and a physical file copy. Choose that when suppliers expect remittance detail attached, or when you want the paper trail independent of your software.
Whichever you pick, order the layout your accounting software is configured for. Comparing against one of your existing checks is the quickest way to confirm.
Every check we print includes security features as standard. You can also upgrade to More Security paper during the ordering process if your payments warrant it.
Worth considering if you write higher value checks or have had a fraud incident previously. The upgrade is selected at the same step as your quantity, so you can weigh the cost difference before committing.
Twenty color options are available, including Mazed and Art Deco. You select your color during ordering and see a layout preview before anything goes to production.
That preview is exactly what it says. Before printing, our team finalizes the alignment and removes the white background, so the finished check is properly set up rather than printed straight from the on screen version. Alignment is handled by people who print checks every day rather than left to you.
Adding your company logo is free. Email your artwork to sales@checksnextday.com with your order number in the subject line. Black artwork on a white background in BMP or JPG format reproduces most cleanly.
These checks run through any inkjet or laser printer. No MICR toner, no dedicated check printer, no special cartridges. Your bank details and MICR line arrive pre-printed, so your printer handles only the variable payment information.
Accounting software is required, since the payment detail comes from your software rather than being written by hand.
Using a specific platform? See QuickBooks checks or Xero checks for stock formatted to those setups, including 3 on a page QuickBooks checks and 3 on a page Xero checks. Printing across several bank accounts instead? 3 per page blank check stock lets you add the bank details yourself using MICR toner.
If three per page is not what your software expects, the same product exists in three other positions. See computer checks on top, computer checks in middle or computer checks on bottom. Browse everything at computer checks.
Looking for desk checks rather than printed ones? Our executive deskbook checks use the same three to a page layout in a binder compatible book, written by hand with no printer needed. Accounts payable manual checks follow the same format for supplier payments.
Need three to a page checks on a personal account rather than a business one? Browse personal checks.
Four details complete the order: your bank routing number, your account number, your starting check number, and your business name and address as it should print. All four appear on an existing check drawn on the same account.
Routing and account numbers. Both sit along the bottom edge of any current check, inside the MICR line.
Starting check number. Continue your existing sequence so your bookkeeping stays unbroken and your bank does not query duplicates.
Business name and address exactly as it should appear on the face of the check.
Working with paper payments regularly? Pair your order with double window envelopes or self seal double window envelopes, sized so the payee and address show through correctly without refolding. An endorsement stamp speeds up the back of the check when depositing.
We have printed business checks since 1997. That is nearly three decades of doing one thing rather than maintaining a broad catalog, and it shows in how the checks are produced. Alignment is finalized by our team before printing, security features are standard on every check, and logo setup is included at no charge.
Orders are placed online through a secure checkout, which keeps processing quick and accurate. We accept all major credit cards and PayPal. Sales tax applies only to orders within New York State, and businesses holding an exemption can email the form after checkout. Customer reviews from verified buyers appear further down this page.
